But where this movie really shines is Naomi Scott
It’s pretty similar to the first movie in structure and how it plays, so if you liked 1, you’ll like 2. She gave this movie 1000% and I was completely blown away by her performance. It shows so much range and brings an intensity to the film that was definitely not there in the first film.
They also really amped up the gore here, which I liked
In terms of issues, as mentioned, it’s pretty similar to the first movie. I was hoping the formula would change a bit, but it follows the same plan. Being almost entirely self-contained, this film is on similar ground in terms of lore and learning about what an “entity” is; is.
Definitely worth seeing for her performance alone
So if you’ve seen the first movie, you’ll find some recurring aspects. It’s still pretty solid on its own though. There are some very scary sequences, great gore and Naomi Scott is the absolute shining star of the film.
