A couple of days before 2022
Tale
After witnessing a strange, traumatic incident involving a patient, a psychiatrist becomes increasingly convinced that she is being threatened by an extraordinary entity. on September 30, the film’s cast appeared at various baseball games while sitting down. dead behind home plate and smiling at the camera, motionless, though fans in the audience are understandably concerned, wearing smiley t-shirts. Not long after, another appeared in the background with the crowd during the Today show.
Seconds later, she’s wearing lace-up shoes as she checks the door
About 31 minutes later, when the alarm goes off, Rose breaks the glass. When the glass is shown at her feet, she is wearing stockings. Depending on what happens later in the party, there are some continuity issues that may not be “bugs”. but may actually be intentional to show "breaks" In Rose’s consciousness/sanity.
Rose Cotter: Who are you?
why are you doing this to me Monster: Because your mind is so seductive. Paramount’s opening and closing logos feature a curved smiley face at the base of a mountain. The movie is featured in Chris Stuckmann’s Movie Reviews: Smile (2022). LollipopWritten by Beverley Ross & Julius Dixon Performs The Chordettes.
It’s nonsense, but it’s well made
Sosie Bacon stars as an incompetent therapist who mumbles platitudes and stands idly by while bad things happen to her patients. After proving she can’t provide basic first aid to anyone within a fifty-mile radius, she gets a scare. The freaks then follow her because she’s creepy and doesn’t do much, perhaps as an ironic form of mockery. None of the characters, supernatural or otherwise, seem to do their job well.
It’s worth watching once, just for fun
Decent acting, good cinematography, tight editing and engaging direction. It’s a good time despite the dead characters, copy and paste writing, terrible dialogue, and endless clichés. It’s a fun and occasionally effective soft bouncy horror, a highly polished grit that’s so shiny you can’t smell it.
