Tale
Jackal is an inscrutable killer who makes his living by carrying out attacks for the highest reward. He soon meets his match in a persistent British intelligence officer who finds him on a thrilling cat and mouse chase across Europe.. In The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, albeit an earlier generation model.
She comes across as a submissive, cold, selfish woman who knows everything
Reference to Graham Norton and guests: Denzel Washington/Paul Mescal/Saoirse Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024). This would have been an extraordinary cat and mouse chase if the female lead had been played by anyone else, literally anyone else. The way she portrays the detective makes the viewer, at least this one, not want to root for her.
He’s everything she’s not, even though he’s a killer
Yes, she’s with the police, and what she’s doing is right, but how she’s doing it is horrible! I don’t love her, nor do I care about her. Because of this, I feel like a lot of us who watch the show will root for the Jackal.
And I know I’m not the only one
I don’t want her to succeed in her mission and I don’t want the Jackal to get caught. I don’t think it should be, but that’s how I feel. By the looks of it, she’s getting close to him.
And it’s a shame, because he’s amazing in this!
Unfortunately, if she succeeds, it’ll make me stop watching this series.
