In the midst of an international crisis, professional diplomat Kate Wyler finds herself in a high-profile job for which she is ill-suited, which affects her marriage and political future. The producers convinced both the Americans and the amplifiers; The British government allowed them to use real-life sets as locations for the series, including the newly built American Embassy (Nine Elms), which opened in 2018. The UK allowed filming in the Foreign Secretary’s office, but this permission is rarely granted.

One of the inaccessible places was Winfield House, the actual residence of the American ambassador. Although it is accurately described as occupying the largest residential plot (11 acres) in London outside of Buckingham Palace, the producers used a country house outside the city for filming. I watched “Night Agent” and thought that it couldn’t be better, but I was wrong.

So cerebral and exciting

I loved every second of this episode. Everything you could wish for in the series. The characters and acting were top notch.

Played to perfection

It was so great to see the amazing Rufus Sewell again and see what kind of role he played, not even knowing what he would do next. Keri Russell was simply magnificent in the role of the ambassador. I also liked David Gyasi.

The best political show since The West Wing

In general, a wonderful series, maybe a little short, but worth watching. Big!
